Omarosa Manigault Newman Hits Back At Robin Roberts After She Says ‘Bye Felicia’

Omarosa Manigault Newman, known simply as Omarosa, fired back at Good Morning America host Robin Roberts after she said “Bye Felicia” about her on the show.

OMAROSA NEWS: FORMER AIDE FIRES BACK AT ROBIN ROBERTS

Omarosa left her position as a White House aide this week, and was escorted off the grounds after a confrontation with chief of staff John Kelly. Afterward, the former Apprentice contestant did an interview Michael Strahan on ABC News, in which she said she has “quite a profound story to tell.” She also claimed that she resigned, and was not fired, as some outlets were reporting. Omarosa implied that she has plans to publish a tell-all about her time in the administration and her decision to leave after seeing things that made her “very uncomfortable.”

On GMA, Roberts responded to Omarosa’s interview. “She says she has a story to tell and I’m sure she’ll be selling that story,” she said.

“We’ll see,” added her co-anchor George Stephanopoulos.

“Yeah, she won’t. Bye Felicia,” Roberts said almost under her breath. The line “Bye Felicia” is from 1995’s Friday, and has surged back in popularity as a dismissive phrase, used almost as a verbal mic drop.

On an episode of Inside Edition, Omarosa clapped back. “That was petty,” she said of Roberts’ words. “It’s a black-woman civil war.” Omarosa is the only woman of color who occupied a top position in Donald Trump‘s administration, and part of her job was to act as liaison between leaders in the African-American community. The View host Sunny Hostin and others in the industry were confused by Omarosa’s appointment. “She’s always sort of been a villain, and I think her job as director of outreach in the African-American community was almost a slap in the face to the African-American community,” she said.

Her co-host Whoopi Goldberg added, “She’s just been so nasty to so many women, and so many women of color. So many women of color. And I just, you know, never mind.”
