Omarosa Compares Backstabbing Atmosphere Of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ To The White House

Just a week after Omarosa Manigault Newman, known simply as Omarosa, was cast in this season of Celebrity Big Brother, she is already making headlines.

During Wednesday’s premiere episode, the former White House aide compared the backstabbing nature of the show to that of the White House and the Donald Trump administration. “There’s a lot of people that want to stab me in the back, kind of similar to the White House,” she said in a confessional. “The one thing that I learned from politics is you have to watch your back, and sometimes you have to watch your front, too.”

Omarosa left her post at the White House in December amid rumors her being fired by chief of staff Gen. John Kelly.

She has long been a fan of the long-running reality competition series, and has made it clear that she wants to rid the house of her bad reputation to keep herself safe from being evicted early on. “I am fiercely competitive, but I came in with a strategy of building a very strong game,” Omarosa added on camera. “I’ve got to control my competitive nature to build trust.”

Within minutes of entering the house, Omarosa turned up the charm. Her first order of business is to form alliances with “some ladies” in the house so they can take down their male competitors. “For the first time in Big Brother history, women should work together,” she stressed to American Pie actress Shannon Elizabeth, Broadway star Marissa Jaret Winokur and Miss Universe runner-up Ariadna Gutiérrez.

The plan seems to be working so far for Omarosa, as Elizabeth won the season’s first Head of Household. “Sorry, guys. This is the season of women,” she announced in a post-game interview. “We’re coming for you.”
