Olivia Newton-John revealed on Sunday that she has been diagnosed with cancer for the third time.
The Australian actress and singer — who will turn 70 later this month — made the announcement during an interview with Australia’s Channel Seven. Newton-John, the star of the hit 1978 musical Grease, said she has a tumor in her spine.
Newton-John was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, and then the disease resurfaced in her shoulder in 2013, shortly after she became involved in a car accident.

The actress and singer said she refused to feel afraid after her new diagnosis: “No, I don’t go there. I’d be lying if I said I never go there. There are moments, I’m human. If I allowed myself to go there, I could easily create that big fear. But my husband’s always there, and he’s there to support me.”
“I believe I will win over it,” she added. “That’s my goal.”
Newton-John also said in the interview that she is having radiation treatments for the cancer, which was reportedly diagnosed in 2017.
News Corp Australia Network reported that the former Grease star is also using other medical treatments like cannabis oil, which is legal in California.

Newton-John is one of several celebrities to recently reveal they are suffering from cancer. Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, 57, announced she was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2017, just days after she won an Emmy Award for her role on the HBO comedy series.
