It seems that the officials who oversee New Year's events in Time Square are telling Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi to go back to the Jersey Shore.
The reality starlet's previous plans to drop through the square in the famous New Year's Eve Ball during the annual countdown to the new year have been stopped in their tracks. "It was never intended or requested for Snooki to be in the actual New Year's Eve Ball in Times Square," said The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment, co-producers of Times Square New Year's Eve, in a statement released to Entertainment Weekly. "The request to have her in a separate ball on a set-back roof came too late and was too impractical to fit into our outdoor events."
While Snooki may not be ringing in the new year with Dick Clark, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and the "official" Times Square elite, she's not going to let the decision rain on her parade. The Jersey Shore star still plans to drop while inside a ball during the countdown. She will just be doing so in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, where the upcoming season of the show was filmed, instead of Times Square, according to People. —KIMBERLY STEELE
