O.J. Simpson contemplated killing himself in Kim Kardashian‘s teenage bedroom before the infamous car chase in his white Ford Bronco.

O.J. Simpson’s Suicidal Moment

According to Lawrence Schiller, who wrote American Tragedy: The Uncensored Story of the O.J. Simpson Defense, Simpson had recorded something of a suicide tape from his lawyer Robert Kardashian’s daughter Kim Kardashian’s bedroom.

Schiller believes that the unearthed tape was meant to be the former football star’s final words after he was charged with the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, according to a recent interview with ABC News 20/20.

“Oh boy, I don’t know how I ended up here,” Simpson allegedly said on the tape, obtained by Schiller. “Please remember me as ‘The Juice.’ Please remember me as a good guy. Don’t remember me as one of the negatives that might end up here. Please, please, please, please leave my kids at peace. I love everybody.”

Robert Kardashian apparently found Simpson in his daughter’s bedroom on June 17, 1994, holding pictures of his kids and of Nicole Brown Simpson. When he saw what Simpson was about to do, he urged him not to go through with it.

“O.J. said, ‘I’m gonna kill myself in this room.’ And I said, you can’t. This is my daughter’s bedroom,” Robert Kardashian said in recorded interviews before his 2003 death. “I can’t have my little girl in this bedroom and every time I come in here I’m gonna see your body.”

Simpson eventually left the Kardashian home that day to go to Nicole’s grave. His friend Al Cowlings drove him there in his white Bronco. Police ended up locating Simpson at the cemetery, resulting in the ensuing slow-motion car chase. Ultimately, Simpson surrendered in the driveway of his home.
