NYC Taxi Driver Mahabur Rahman Fined For Refusal To Pick Up Al Roker
A New York City taxi driver was fined $500 after his refusal to pick up Al Roker and his son last year.
After the incident, Roker filed a complaint in November and wrote on social media he and his son had been ignored for racial reasons. Roker commented that the driver picked up a white man a block away. The tweet said “Filed a complaint today after getting passed up again by a NYC Yellow cab. Cabbie picked up a white guy a block away. Wonder why Uber wins?”
