Fifty-seven passengers were injured when a New York City-bound ferry crashed into Pier 11 in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday morning at around 8:45 a.m., reports.

The ferry, called the “Seastreak Wall Street,” was traveling from New Jersey and carrying over 340 passengers and five crew members. The ferry hit the dock at between 10-12 knots. Following the accident, two people were rushed to the hospital.

"We were pulling into the dock. The boat hit the dock. We just tumbled on top of each other. I got thrown into everybody else. … People were hysterical, crying," passenger Ellen Foran told the Huffington Post.

The ferry and pier are under investigation by the U.S. Coast Guard and the National Transportation Safety Board.
