With various reports on — and a grainy video of — the brawl between rappers Chris Brown and Drake swirling around, official word on what started the fight may take awhile to be sorted out. Here are the facts: Brown and Drake were in the VIP section of New York City's W.i.P. Club when a fight broke out between 4 and 5 in the wee hours of Thursday morning. Drake began yelling at Brown, prompting him to yell back, which caused both of their entourages to begin shoving one another. Someone threw a bottle, and that's when the tension escalated into a full-on fistfight, according to MTV News.
The police were called but both Drake and Brown had left the club by the time the cops showed up. Several members from each rapper's group needed medical attention, while an Australian tourist who was at the club got hit in the head with a glass bottle. The club itself was also significantly damaged, including broken mirrors, tables and lights. Drake's rep released a statement this morning saying that the rapper was not involved with the fight and it was actually between Brown and rapper Meek Mill. There are also reports that the altercation was over Rihanna, Brown's ex-girlfriend and Drake's constantly rumored romantic fling.
