Moon
This November’s supermoon is going to be the largest yet, as the moon will be the closest to the Earth than it has been since January 1948.
Supermoons, as the term might convey, are when the moon is the largest in the sky, as the moon is within 90% of its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit. A perogee moon, or super moon, can appear 14% bigger and 30% brighter than an apogee, or standard, full moon.
The full moon won’t come this close to Earth again until November 25, 2034.
The November supermoon will take place on the Nov. 14, while the following supermoon will take place exactly a month later on Dec. 14. More information can be found in the official NASA video below.
