‘No Time To Die’ Release Date Pushed Back To 2021

One of the most anticipated films of 2020 has been No Time to Die, the twenty-fifth installment in the James Bond film series. No Time to Die has been infamous for suffering through several production delays. When the film finally completed production, it was one of the first movies to have its release date delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, moving from April to November. Many fans were annoyed at this announcement, seeing it as an overreaction on the studio’s part. However, after so many more films were delayed to 2021 and Tenet massively underperformed at the box office, No Time to Die moved its release date from November 25, 2020 to April 2, 2021.

What MGM Studios does not seem to realize is that delaying No Time to Die one too many times can result in people losing interest in the movie and may even lead to enthusiasts trying to view the film illegally. Fans can only wait for a movie for so long before they start to lose interest and look into other things for entertainment. As a consequence for this extra delay, Regal Cinemas announced that they will close all of their theaters throughout the United States and United Kingdom. With so many popular franchises delaying their films to 2021 like James Bond, Marvel and DC Comics, it is not hard to see why Regal Cinemas gave up on waiting and closed their doors.

This will hopefully be the last delay for No Time to Die. It is unclear if fans will accept another delay once we get closer to April 2021. However, if MGM Studios continues to delay this movie, it won’t just be the film that people lose interest in. It could be the franchise as well. Fans will hopefully finally see Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond on April 2.
