Niecy Nash Marries Singer Jessica Betts: ‘Love Wins’

Reno 911! and Claws actress Niecy Nash announced her marriage to singer Jessica Betts on Aug. 31.

The 50-year-old actress, born Carol Ensley, shared a photo to Instagram of herself and Betts walking down the aisle, hand-in-hand, captioned, “Mrs. Carol Denise Betts @jessicabettsmusic #LoveWins.” She also posted the news to her Instagram Stories feed, writing, “#PlotTwist.”

Betts, 48, also announced the marriage through Instagram, posting the same photo as Nash, captioned, “I got a whole Wife @niecynash1 #Bettsofbothworlds #LoveWins.”

Halle Berry, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, Jamie Lee Curtis and were among the many celebrities who chimed in with their congratulations to the couple under both Instagram posts.

Nash was previously married to Don Nash, with whom she had three children, and Jay Tucker. She split from Tucker in October 2019, after eight years of marriage, and filed for divorce two months later. “We believe in the beauty of truth. Always have. Our truth is that in this season of our lives, we are better friends than partners in marriage,” the pair said at the time. “Our union was such a gorgeous ride. And as we go our separate ways now, we feel fortunate for the love we share – present tense.”
