In a classic Nicole Kidman moment, the actress stunned a Music Man audience when she bid $100,000 for Hugh Jackman‘s signed hat from the show.

Jackman and the cast were holding a charity auction to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, an organization that supports people all over the country who struggle with AIDS and other serious illnesses.

The actor posted a video of Kidman’s entrance and the whole moving moment on Twitter. In the clip, Jackman’s co-star, Nicholas Ward, is trying to auction off the hat for $19,000 when Kidman’s voice comes from out of the blue: “A hundred thousand.” The Big Little Lies star joined them on the stage and gave her longtime buddy, Jackman, a big hug.

“I love you, I love Broadway, and I love what they do, Broadway Cares,” Kidman told her friend and the crowd.

Jackman gushed, “I’ve known Nic for almost 30 years. I’ve worked with her, I can tell you this is not a surprise. She is one of the most generous souls I know. You’re a beautiful, beautiful person. Thank you for your generosity.”

The gushing didn’t stop there. Jackman expressed his continued disbelief and gratitude in an Instagram post. “The generosity emanating from #NicoleKidman leaves me speechless!” He wrote. “You ARE amazing. Thank you for your friendship and support! @MusicManBway @NicholastheWard @BCEFA”.

These two are truly in platonic love and of course, Kidman left a sweet response in the comments section.

“Darling Hugh, to my friend of 30 years,” she wrote, “Right back at you, such a generous, gorgeous man, it was a brilliant night in the theatre and an honor to be able to donate to BCEFA! Congratulations to the talented cast.”

Broadway Cares noted that Kidman’s donation was the largest donation for any one auction item ever.

The auction was part of the organization’s Red Bucket Fall Fundraising Campaign, which raises funds to “provide meals and medication, health care and hope” for those struggling with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses this holiday season.
