Nicole Kidman was entering her New York City hotel when she was plowed over by a paparazzo riding his bicycle on the sidewalk Thursday.

Kidman was in Manhattan for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week where she was set to walk the red carpet for Francisco Costa’s 10th anniversary as the creative director for the women’s Calvin Klein Collection. Despite the sidewalk accident, she still managed to attend.

The bicycling pap, identified as Carl Wu, tried in vain to come to a stop as Kidman made her way from her vehicle to inside the Carlyle Hotel. Wu’s bike swung into the Stoker actress, knocking her completely to the ground. As she was helped up, Wu was apologizing profusely from the flat of his back with the bike laying on top of him.

A shaken Kidman can be heard inquiring about the paparazzo’s name, ostensibly in the hopes of pressing charges, in a video obtained by TMZ. Kidman later said she was “leaving [the accident] with the police,” when asked about it by Entertainment Tonight.

Wu was ultimately not arrested, as it was clearly an accident. However, he received three summonses for crashing into the actress – riding a bike on the sidewalk, reckless driving and riding a bike without a helmet.
