Nicolas Cage and Jared Leto found themselves seated together in animated conversation at the Golden Globes on Sunday.
While both Cage and Leto donned black suits, the styles were different. Leto opted to wear a simple, loose black blazer and white slacks. Cage, on the other hand, wore a gold-printed black blazer over a satin dress shirt and bowtie.
Cage had a double celebration on Sunday. Not only was he nominated for his performance in Dream Scenario, but it was also his 60th birthday.
He arrived on the red carpet before the awards ceremony with his wife, Riko Shibata, 27, and told reporters that everybody had been invited to his birthday party.
Last year, the couple announced that they had named their daughter after a Beatles song, Lennon Augie.
“I’m just looking at this whole experience as one big birthday party,” Cage said. “It’s my surrealist birthday party. I’m excited to see everybody; everybody’s invited to my birthday party.”
Leto was one of the Golden Globes presenters this year.
