Nicki Minaj Shocks Fans With Pregnancy Announcement

Nicki Minaj shocked fans with a pregnancy announcement on Monday. She and her husband Kenneth Petty are expecting their first child. 

Minaj dropped the bomb when she posted a photo of herself kneeling and holding her baby bump. She had bright yellow hair and was wearing large platform heels and a bikini top covered in flowers and baby bottle caps. She captioned the photo, “#preggers 💛.”

She added another photo laying on the couch and said, “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. 💛”

Minaj shared two more photos wearing different outfits. In the first she had large blue hair and was wearing a blue and green sparkly bikini with fringe hanging off of it. 

In the second, Minaj posed in front of green plants wearing a head covering. She wrote, “And finally, the Virgin Mary by #DavidLaChapelle 🙏.”

Many were critical of Minaj on Twitter due to the fact hat her husband Petty is considered a level-two sex offender in the state of New York. Petty was convicted of attempted rape in 1995 on a 16 year-old girl. He allegedly used a knife to coerce her into having sex with him. In 2006, Petty pleaded guilty to manslaughter in an incident that killed Lamont Robinson in 2002. 

One user on Twitter wrote, “She poked fun at cardi being a mother. I wonder what kind of mother she is going to be. The baby already has its own little molester waiting for it. Mr Petty LOL.”

Another added, “You forgot to add she married a convicted molester, her brother a convicted molester and she did a song with a molester. The end..”

In October, Minaj surprised fans a separate time when she revealed that she and Petty were married on Instagram. She posted a video that included a mug with “Mrs.” written on it. The caption read, “👰🏽🤵🏽😢🙏🏽🎀 Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10•21•19.”
