Wedding bells are in the future for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, who just announced their engagement.
"We're excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together," the couple told Us Weekly. Lachey, 36, and Minnillo, 29, started dating in 2006, shortly after his much-publicized split from pop star Jessica Simpson. The couple had split in 2009 but quickly reunited. Lachey proposed on a beach with a ring Asscher-cut diamond with baguettes from Bader & Garrin, according to a source.
Though Lachey rose to fame through the reality show he and Simpson filmed during their marriage, he does not plan to go the same route with Minnillo. "Hey all. If anyone's heard the rumors of my engagement, they are absolutely true!" Lachey tweeted. "Vanessa and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for all the love." –AMY LEE
