Nick Lachey and his television-correspondent fiancé, Vanessa Minnillo, have agreed to chronicle their upcoming wedding on a new reality television show for TLC.
Nick and Vanessa’s Dream Wedding, as the show is tentatively titled, will follow the celebrity duo during their May 29 wedding shower in West Hollywood, ceremony and reception planning, the quest for Minnillo’s perfect white gown, and finally, down the aisle as the two exchange vows. While ceremony details are under wraps for now, fans can expect to get front-row seats when the show airs just weeks after the big day.
This marriage is a first for Minnillo, 30, but the wedding and camera crew is familiar territory for Lachey, 37. His marriage to pop singer-turned-designer Jessica Simpson was filmed for MTV’s Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica in 2003. The popular series aired for three seasons before the couple divorced in 2005. Hopefully, this go-round of televised matrimony won’t suffer from a sophomore jinx.
After their four-year relationship and engagement announcement in November of last year, Lachey and Minnillo seem not to be worried. “We're lucky to have such passionate and loving fans,” the two told US Magazine. “And we thought partnering with TLC on this special would be the best way to share the exciting journey we're on with all the people that support us and our relationship.”
Although the TLC network has yet to add the series to its website’s television show listings, fans can expect an airdate for Lachey and Minnillo’s wedding special to be announced soon.
