Nick Cannon, who filed for divorce from Mariah Carey earlier this year, has reportedly started dating model Jessica White.
Cannon and White reportedly started out as friends before things turned romantic more recently, a source told E! News. The two are keeping the new relationship hush hush for now “out of respect for Nick’s family since the divorce is not final,” according to the source.
“Jessica fully respected Nick’s relationship and would never get in between anything with them,” the insider went on, referring to Carey, “When Nick was going through his breakup Jessica was there for him as a friend.”
“Jessica been in the studio lately and Nick has been very supportive with her focusing on her music career and giving her some great pointers and direction as she explores her talents,” the source added. “They been spending lots of time together and Nick really enjoys Jessica’s free spirit and easy going attitude for life.”
Earlier this week, the America’s Got Talent host claimed that he wasn’t back on the dating scene, explaining that right now all he has time for are his kids – 3-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe – and his work.
“I’m not dating anyone . . . I don’t have time . . . I’m trying to focus on being the best father I can possibly be, and business,” Cannon told Extra. “We have so many things, from the book to my philanthropic efforts to all the shows and movies I’m producing.”
In recent months, Cannon has also been linked to Amber Rose and Nicole Murphy. As for White, she’s previously dated actor Sean Penn, former football pro Terrell Owens and music producer Dallas Austin.
