NFL star Damar Hamlin and his supportive parents were all together for the Super Bowl Soulful Celebration 25th Anniversary at Pearl Theater at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas this week.
Hamlin, a player for the Buffalo Bills, was seen smiling while sporting a sleeveless suit while standing next to his parents, Mario and Nina Hamlin, on the red carpet.
Hamlin was honored at last year’s Super Bowl with the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals medical staff and the staff at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for saving Hamlin’s life after collapsing on the field during a Bills vs. Bengals game in January 2023.
Hamlin posted a selfie on X at last year’s Super Bowl, making a peace sign in front of the football field and the crowd, captioning, “Ain’t It A Blessing?”
Medical experts said that he might have had commotio cordis, where a “blunt force to the chest can cause a healthy heart to stop beating.”
Hamlin wants to continue playing football and use his platform to spread awareness of cardiac safety to save other lives.
