On February 1, the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection held its annual concert to raise awareness about heart disease. Along with musical performances, celebrities modeled red dresses at the runway show.

Gina Gershon, 60, wore a sparkly red jumpsuit with a plunging v-neck to the event. In an exclusive interview with uInterview, Gershon discussed how she chose her outfit.

“We tried on four or five different gowns; of course, one gown is more beautiful than the next,” she explained. “And then [designer] Mark [Bauer] pulled this out, I don’t know why but it just felt so strong and fun. It’s a jumpsuit, I love a jumpsuit. I’m a sucker for a jumpsuit! And it’s got all this groovy fringe. It just seemed really fun so when we saw this one, we were like, ‘oh yeah.’”

Gershon then revealed how she stays healthy and why it’s important to her.

“I’ve been trying to be healthier and healthier, that’s for sure,” Gershon said. “I think after the pandemic everyone started taking more supplements and vitamins and going to the doctor and checking things out. I’ve had a lot of people, in my family, drop dead from heart attacks, like one after another, so I’m very aware of how important it is to keep yourself checked out. You just have to check in, especially with all the diseases out there. We have to keep our immune systems boosted for the world right now.”
