TikTok Star Gabriel Salazar Dead After Police Chase

Gabriel Salazar and three others have died after a police crash and fatal car crash in La Pryor, Texas on September 26.

According to Zavala County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy overheard a Crystal City Police Department officer initiate a traffic stop to a white 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. When the driver didn’t pull over, the officer then was in “active pursuit of a white Chevy Camaro.” Salazar was the driver of the car.

The deputy attempted to deploy a “tire deflation devise” but was “unsuccessful.” The deputy later heard a CCPD officer say “the vehicle had rolled over and that it was engulfed in flames.”

A statement from Texas Highway Patrol said Salazar had driven off the road and traveled across the roadway onto a ditch.

“The vehicle struck some trees, rolled several times, and the vehicle caught fire,” said authorities.

Salazar and three others suffered injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Highway Patrol stated the three passengers were “Mexican Nationals.” Their names were revealed to be Jose Luis Jimenez-Mora, 41, Jose Molina-Lara, 23, and Sergio Espinoza-Flores, 36.

The Sheriff’s Office statement said Homeland Security Investigations that “three out of the four males that died as a result of the accident were identified as illegal immigrants from Mexico.”

Before his death, Salazar, TikTok name @gabenotbabe had 2.2 million followers.

A GoFundMe page for Salazar’s family has already raised more than $38,000.

The organizer of the page, Chris Vazquez, wrote, “I don’t know what’s real and what’s not anymore, we couldn’t believe it the moment we found out.”

“Gabriel loved his family and was always horsing around with his sister and little brother,” Vasquez wrote, “He was always there with a big hug and smile, and his family will never forget those warm moments. He was so funny with a quiet sense of humor and sarcasm.”
