The premiere of A Wrinkle in Time welcomed many different A-list celebrities on its blue carpet.
Ava DuVernay’s highly anticipated adaption of the 1962 fantasy novel written by Madeleine L’Engle will be hitting theaters soon. While the night was all about the cast and crew of the movie, many celebrities came to support the movie’s premiere on Monday night in Los Angeles.
Among those who attended was director Ryan Coogler, who directed the movie Black Panther, and who has been very open about his support for A Wrinkle In Time. He expressed his support for DuVernay as she has had a big influence on Coogler and his work.
“Being here tonight for her is incredible, she’s put her arms around all of us. She kind of taught us the way,” he told Variety.
Grown-ish lead actress Yara Shahidi also attended the blue carpet and showed her support for actress Storm Reid for landing her first lead role as Meg Murry in the movie.
Actress Salma Hayek also walked the carpet and was seen embracing both of the movie’s stars Oprah Winfrey and Rowan Blanchard.
Other celebrities that came to see the premiere include Kobe Bryant, Ellen Pompeo, Angela Bassett and many more.
A Wrinkle in Time will be in theaters for all fans to see on March 9.
