Actor Nicolas Cage announced through reps that he and his fifth wife Riko Shibata are expecting their first child. Shibata and Cage are “elated” by the news.
The couple met in Shiga, Japan and spent part of their relationship long-distance due to pandemic travel restrictions. Cage said he proposed to Shibata on FaceTime on a radio show.
They were married on February 16, 2021, in a ceremony at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.
This baby will be Cage’s third. He has two sons: Weston Coppola Cage, 31, with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton, and Kal-El Coppola Cage, 16, with ex-wife Alice Kim.
