On Monday morning, in Nashville, Tennessee police received a call of an active shooter at Covenant School. The shooter was Audrey Hale, 28, a former student of the school. They carried an AR rifle and pistol, and a handgun, and killed three nine-year-old students and three staff members before being shot down by police.
Oddly, Hale’s mother, Norma Hale, seemed to be a gun control activist, urging others to sign a petition to keep guns out of schools.

In a 2018 Facebook post, Hale shared the “Keep Guns Out of School” petition from the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation, writing, “So important!”
That same year, Hale posted another petition from the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation, urging lawmakers to “Make Large-Capacity Gun Magazines Illegal.”
Also on the mother’s Facebook are various posts of her gushing about her two children and their various accomplishments over the years.
Norma believed Audrey had one gun in the house – but it turned out that they had stashed seven guns secretly in the family’s home.
Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett (R), a staunch gun rights activist, said on Tuesday that Congress had no role in restricting gun access. “We aren’t going to fix it,” he told reporters.
