Maisie Williams, who stars as Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, said the show “definitely fell off at the end.”
She revealed to her brother during a Twitch stream that she rewatched the entire show recently.
“It started really strong,” the actress said, echoing the thoughts of many GOT fans.
Critics have expressed disappointment in the finale, which aired in May 2019. Although she knew what to expect, she said she was “heartbroken” when Ned Stark, played by Sean Bean, died at the end of season one. “For the first time, I could like, really feel the story,” she said.

Despite her feelings about the ending, Williams said the show “popped off.” During its eight-season run, GOT averaged around 44.2 million viewers. Before watching it for the first time, Williams said she “could never see it from the outside.”
“For the first time, it feels good to be proud of it,” the actress said. “It was ten years of my life.”
