Actress Lisa Loring, best known for her debut role at six years old as Wednesday Addams on ABC’s original TV adaptation of The Addams Family (1964–1966), has passed away at the age of 64.
According to a Facebook post by Laurie Jacobson, a Hollywood historian and Loring’s friend, she died after experiencing complications from a stroke caused by smoking and high blood pressure. After being on life support for three days, Loring died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, in Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, on Saturday.

Loring had recently gained more recognition and popularity for her iconic 1960s performance as Wednesday Addams, after Jenna Ortega confirmed on The Tonight Show that she took inspiration from Loring during her own role as Wednesday in Netflix’s hit reboot.
At 92 years old, John Astin, who played the role of Gomez Addams in the original adaptation, is now the only surviving cast member of The Addams Family.
