Over a dozen people came to support former President Donald Trump in court on Monday, including Chuck Zito, former leader of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang. In the mid-1970s, Zito formed his motorcycle gang, the New Rochelle Motorcycle Club, before merging with the Ching-a-Ling Nomads.
Later, Zito was voted in as a member of the Hells Angels chapter in New York City in 1979 after meeting Sandy Alexander, chapter president. After numerous legal issues during his time with the Hells Angels, Zito left in 2004 to pursue a career in Hollywood. Some of Zito’s notable acting roles include Chucky “The Enforcer” Pancamo in the HBO prison drama Oz and Frankie “Diamonds” in Sons of Anarchy. He also worked as an amateur boxer and celebrity security guard.
Trump has previously shown love for bikers, once stating, “Do we love the bikers? Yes. We love the bikers?” to a crowd of them in 2016. Bikers for Trump is a group that shows support for the former president through rallies and social media posts.
Zito was spotted in the courtroom with several other Trump allies. Many of them have faced convictions themselves, including Zito, who served time in prison from 1985 to 1991 for drug conspiracy charges.
On Thursday, former Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Clark attended Trump’s trial with other allies. Clark was involved in the plot to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election results. A D.C. Bar panel found Clark responsible for ethical violations by promoting conspiracy theories, such as that smart thermostats were used to steal the election.
House Speaker Mike Johnson also appeared in court last week to support “my friend” Trump.
