Eric Trump suggested that Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama would be prosecuted if the Supreme Court decides that presidents are not immune to criminal prosecution.

“The Supreme Court is now weighing this monumental case on whether or not president [DonaldTrump has immunity from prosecution,” host Maria Bartiromo told Eric during an interview on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures.

“We saw some of the hearing this week,” Bartiromo stated in reference to last week’s oral arguments, during which the high court considered Trump’s claim that his official acts should not be subject to federal prosecution. “It felt like listening to some of those Supreme Court justices—that they were willing to admit to some or acknowledge some immunity.”

She asked Eric, “What did you take away from what you heard from the Supreme Court this week, and when do you expect a decision?”

“Well, God help us if they get it wrong,” the interviewee responded. “That’s what I take away.”

“I know the system very, very well,” he argued. “And the only people or who are going to benefit are big law firms in Washington, D.C., because they are going to go after every single president.”

Eric stated that the former president the system will target first is Obama.

“Fast and furious, right,” Eric asked about the Operation Fast and Furious controversy. “Where he gives 2,000 weapons to cartel members.”

“Then they’ll go to Obama, where he weaponized the IRS against conservatives,” he added.

“They’ll probably go after Joe Biden for having cocaine in the White House,” he mentioned about the time when a Secret Service agent found a powdered substance in the White House on July 2, 2023, which tested positive for cocaine. There has been no suggestion that it was connected to Biden.

“They’ll go after Biden then for raiding his opponent’s home,” Eric stated.

“They’ll probably go after him after that for literally two weeks before the 2022 primaries literally depleting the petroleum national – you know – the reserves so he could lower gas prices by four cents and hopefully help him, nationally, in the polls,” he argued.

“Where do you want to stop,” he then asked. “Are they going to go after George [W.Bush for lying about weapons of mass destruction? Where does this stop, Maria?”

The former president’s son then claimed that the only winners would be “the lawyers in Washington D.C.”

“The floodgates are going to open, and I guarantee you Joe Biden will not have one foot outside of the White House doors before they start going after him legally, ruthlessly,” Eric declared.

He then stated that “presidents need immunity in this country.” If they do not receive it, “their entire tenure as president is literally going to be filled in depositions and subpoenas like they’ve tried to do to” Trump “for the last eight years.”

Eric then mentioned that the nation requires “a president to actually be able to function and run” the country.

“So are you expecting that in June, a decision from the Supreme Court,” the conservative journalist asked Eric. “What are you expecting?”

“Well, I certainly hope that presidents have absolute immunity,” he replied. “And if they don’t, they’re not going to be able to function as presidents of the United States.”

After Trump’s contentious testimony in his civil fraud trial in November 2023, Eric appeared on Fox News and appealed to New York Attorney General Letitia James to consider the well-being of the “thousands” of blue-collar workers employed by the Trump Organization who would be affected if the organization ends up dissolving.

During his conversation with anchor Sean Hannity, Eric shared his unhappiness with James’ prosecution and asserted that political motivations had driven it.

In early April, Eric told Fox & Friends that he “guarantees” his father will win the 2024 election over Biden.

He cited the criticism of the Biden Administration from “upset” Americans. He also mentioned the gag order against his father, himself and his brothers, which would prohibit him from discussing his legal battles.
