Drew Barrymore’s Stalker Arrested After Trespassing At Fashion Show Looking For Emma Watson

On September 8, Chad Michael Busto, 43, was arrested at the New York Fashion Week show after he was caught trespassing backstage in search of Emma Watson, 33.

According to the charging documents filed in Kings County Court, Busto broke into the fashion show at Brooklyn Navy Yard. Although it is reported that the property was closed off to prevent such intruders, Busto found a way to enter the backstage area. Once backstage, he started screaming, “I want to marry Emma Watson! Let me speak to Emma Watson! Let me take a photo with Emma Watson!”

While the Ralph Lauren Fashion Show was packed with stars such as Jennifer Lopez and James Mardsen, it is still unclear if Watson was actually present in the building.

Busto was charged with two counts each of disorderly conduct and trespassing. He was arraigned on September 9, where he pleaded not guilty, and was given a supervised release. His court date is October 2.

On August 24, Busto was charged with stalking Drew Barrymore, 48, after searching for her house on Long Island. Police received a report that Busto was trespassing on private properties, telling local residents he was looking for Barrymore’s home. He was charged with fourth-degree stalking but failed to show up for his appointment to be fitted for an ankle monitor.

Three days prior, Busto had been recorded at a panel Barrymore was doing with singer Reneé Rapp about her new album. Busto made his way to the stage shouting, “My name is Chad Michael Busto; you know who I am.” As he was approached by security officers, he stated, “I need to see you at some point while you’re in New York, ok?” Rapp and Barrymore were quickly rushed offstage.
