Kid Rock is beginning his concert tour Bad Reputation and kicked it off with a message from ex-President Donald Trump. One fan captured the moment on TikTok, where attendees cheered raucously when Trump appeared on a screen onstage.

“I know you’re having a great time at the Kid Rock concert,” Trump began in his comments. “All of you in attendance are the true backbone of our great country. Hard-working, God-fearing rock-and-roll patriots.” He also referred to Kid Rock familiarly as “Bob,” made a dig at the rocker’s golf game, and told the fans to “Make America Rock Again,” before putting on a MAGA-style red hat also saying it.

Usually, even when he is giving scripted remarks, Trump is known for going on bizarre off-script tangents. You’d think that he would improvise more in a video during a rock concert, but it seems that Trump’s team may be getting better at making him stick to a script now that he hasn’t been President for over a year.

Kid Rock has been a longtime Republican and one of the more prominent conservative celebrities. Since becoming a passionate Donald Trump supporter, and in response to political movements and pandemic restrictions in the recent years, his music has become much more explicitly right-wing than it used to be. This tour will feature songs that insult Dr. Anthony Fauci, Black Lives Matter and liberal news outlets. He has also been vocal about eliminating tour stops that require a COVID-19 vaccination or indoor masking.

Kid Rock recently told Tucker Carlson that he’s “uncancellable.”
