Actor Dennis Quaid and his wife Laura Savoie hit the carpet last night at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville. Quaid and Savoie met in May 2019 at a business event and got married in June 2020 the next year after a prolonged engagement due to delays from COVID-19.

They both kept it simple but stylish on the red carpet. Quaid had on a silver blazer with black lining, while Savoie wore a black jumpsuit accented with a cross necklace. The cross isn’t for show, as Savoie has told reporters that their shared faith is their “greatest source of strength.”

Quaid is best known for roles in dramas like Far From Heaven and The Big Easy, and later for family movies like The Parent Trap and Yours, Mine & Ours. Savoie is a business Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at Austin

At the age of 68, he’s 39 years old than Savoie, who is 29, but told Today “we just don’t even notice it,” when asked about their age gap. “You never know when love is coming, who it’s gonna be, and you have no control over it. We just couldn’t be happier.”

Quaid has been married three times prior to tying the knot with Savoie. He was married to actresses P.J. Soles and Meg Ryan, and real-estate agent Kimberly Buffington. He has three children, one son, the actor Jack Henry Quaid with Ryan, and two twins born by surrogate with Buffington.
