New legal documents reveal that a divorce settlement has been made between pop singer Ariana Grande and real estate agent Dalton Gomez, who officially filed for divorce on September 18.
The settlement contained a confidentiality clause, which stated that both Grande and Gomez would agree that no one except the two of them would know about certain aspects surrounding the conclusion of their two-year marriage.
Both parties seem to have ended the marriage on amicable terms.
The confidentiality clause specifically forbade Grande and Gomez from publishing photographs, tapes, film or recordings that could reveal anything about their life together.
Grande and Gomez were also forbidden from writing tell-all books or doing interviews in any publication about their marriage.
In addition to this clause, the legal documents explained that Grande and Gomez signed a prenuptial agreement. Thanks to this agreement, Gomez was granted a tax-free $1.25 million check from his ex-wife. Grande will not have to pay him any further financial support.
Grande and Gomez “acknowledge that there shall be no permanent spousal support payable by one party to the other party in this matter.”
It was also stated in the documents that “this waiver of permanent spousal support is non-modifiable, irrespective of any changes in the parties’ respective health or financial circumstances.”
Grande and Gomez’s prenuptial agreement confirmed that Grande would be responsible for paying $25,000 of her husband’s attorney’s fees.
Grande and Gomez also agreed that they would each get half of the net proceeds that they would receive once they had sold their home in Los Angeles.
The divorce settlement stated that Grande and Gomez would be legally considered divorced on March 19, 2024.
Despite rumors that they cheated on their respective partners, Grande is officially living in New York City with her new boyfriend and costar in Jon M. Chu‘s upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical, Wicked, Ethan Slater, who divorced his wife, Lilly Jay, in July.
Slater is now starring on Broadway in the revival of Spamalot.
