Jared Martin, who portrayed Dusty Farlow on the 1980s soap opera Dallas, has died. He was 75.
His death was confirmed by his son Christian Martin on Twitter. Martin’s Dallas co-star Linda Gray tweeted her condolences yesterday, writing “Rest In Peace dear Jared Martin. I have such beautiful memories of working with you as Dusty Farlow on Dallas.”
Martin died Wednesday of pancreatic cancer at his home in Philadelphia, his son told The Hollywood Reporter.
The Manhattan-born Martin was best known for his role on Dallas, joining the show in 1979 as the cowboy Dusty Farlow.
The actor also had guest or starring appearances on Dan August, Night Gallery, Medical Center, The Fantastic Journey, The Six Million Dollar Man, How the West Was Won and War of the Worlds.
He retired from acting and worked as a painter and photographer until his death.
Martin was married to Nancy Fales from 1963-1977 and to Carol Vogel from 1979-1984. He is survived by his wife Yu Weim and son Christian.
