After Conor McGregor was pulled over last month for alleged reckless driving, he has been charged with six different counts related to the incident. McGregor reportedly passed a drug and alcohol test after he was stopped, and his driving charges were not related to driving while intoxicated.
McGregor appeared in a Dublin court on Thursday, and he was charged with two counts of dangerous driving, driving without insurance and a license, plus failing to provide a copy of a certificate of insurance or license.
His lawyer Michael Staines denied that McGregor did not produce these documents and the fighter did not speak during the proceedings. He is next scheduled to appear in court on June 23.
Clearly, McGregor’s mind was not on these charges, as he fired off in a tweet following his departure from the court, “Straight back into training.”
The two-time UFC champion has been taking it slow since sustaining a leg injury during his losing fight with Dustin Poirer. His camp has yet to hint at any possible return fights in the future.
