Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey this week, and the Internet called on Chris Pratt to fill in.
Pratt’s character on Parks & Recreation, Andy Dwyer, often broke out his alter ego Burt Macklin, an FBI operative. In the story, Macklin was fired for being framed for stealing the president’s rubies, so of course the Internet made the connection between Macklin and the Comey situation.
“Burt Macklin is the FBI director America needs…no, deserves,” wrote one Twitter user. “America needs a hero…and his name is FBI Agent Burt Macklin,” said another.
With many tweeting about the possibility of Macklin taking over as FBI Director, tagging Pratt and posting photos of his character, the actor finally joined the conversation.
“Just lemme know,” he tweeted, alongside a gif of two of Macklin’s most iconic moments – his leap across the face of Mount Rushmore and him busting into an office to introduce himself.
