Alec Baldwin returned to Saturday Night Live this weekend to play the commander in chief, Donald Trump.

The cold open showed him in the middle of an alien attack, leading the charge against the invaders from Zorblatt 9.

Baldwin’s Trump, joined by a team of soldiers tasked with saving the world, did not do much to stop the aliens. Instead, he ranted about his jobs plan, D.C. hotel and feud with NBC, while completely ignoring the elimination of the human race.

“What a beautiful day. Who here loves Trump? I know this guy over here, I know he loves Trump,” “Trump” says, pointing to a smoldering carcass.

“Now here’s the deal: We’re going to beat these aliens because we’ve got the best military, but we don’t win anymore, and the aliens are laughing at us. They’re killing us and they’re laughing at us.”

“We know the aliens are killing us, sir,” the general says. “They have the most advanced weaponized technology we have ever seen. What should we do?”

Trump answers: “Okay, here’s what we are going to do. We are going to bring coal back, okay?”

Finally, the aliens arrive at the scene: “Humans! Resistance is futile. Take me to your leader.”

Trump pauses, then points to the general. “It’s him. He’s the president.”
