A new teaser for upcoming superhero, mashup blockbuster Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has just been released and it features the two iconic comic book characters squaring off in a dramatic confrontation.

The clip is the first glimpse of the eagerly awaited flick we’ve gotten since a full-length trailer debuted back in April. It features Ben Affleck as Batman, oddly dressed in a desert trench coat, chained up and detained by armed guards.

Henry Cavill’s Superman then dramatically swoops in and menacingly walks toward the helpless vigilante. With an uncharacteristically scowling expression the all-American hero unmasks Batman at which point the clip cuts.

It’s definitely a side of Cavill’s Superman we haven’t seen before and it’s interesting to see the usually fearless Batman quaking in his boots.

The teaser will be followed by a second full length trailer due to premiere tonight on Jimmy Kimmel.
