R. Kelly has posted 10% of his $1 million bail and is currently out of jail after being indicted by a grand jury on ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse on Friday. But according to a new Twitter post by lead prosecutor Michael Avenatti, the R&B singer is far from out of the woods.
On Tuesday, Avenatti revealed that he had provided the court with a tape that showed Kelly engaging in sexual acts with a 14-year-old girl, whom Kelly repeatedly refers to as 14 years old throughout the tape. Avenatti posted examples of the most heinous things Kelly says on the tape, as well as confirmation that he is representing two victims, two parents and two whistleblowers in this case.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, Avenatti told press that Kelly was “a bad man. This guy is a psychopath. There’s no question about it and when this thing finally gets busted wide open, people are going to be shocked at the level of depravity. I know I am.”
Meanwhile, Kelly and his lawyer Steve Greenberg continue to maintain the singer’s innocence. Reportedly, Greenberg told Friday’s jury that Kelly “doesn’t have to have nonconsensual sex” because of his rock-star status.

The allegations against Kelly began earlier this year following the release of Lifetime’s six-part documentary series, Surviving R. Kelly. Kelly was previously tried for child pornography in 2008, but was cleared of all charges. According to Avenatti, Kelly and his team hid this evidence from prosecutors during his 2008 trial.
