If rumors of the touchscreen watch, or iWatch, for which Apple reportedly recently filed a patent didn't get you going, there's good news: the release of a the new iPhone 5S is rumored to follow the established pattern of late summer releases, and Apple reportedly intends to couple its release with a second, cheaper version aimed at emerging markets in China and the U.S.

According to Barclays analyst Kirk Yang, who has accurately predicted technology release dates in the past, the next iPhone(s) will hit the market in August or September, a year after the iPhone 5 release date on September 12, 2012.

It is rumored that the iPhone 5S will be a "world phone," compatible with frequencies for most LTE networks, while the less expensive model will not be. Otherwise, the iPhone 5S is expected to be a pretty similar update to the iPhone 5 as the iPhone 4S was to the iPhone 4.
