New Details Of ‘7th Heaven’ Star Stephen Collins’ Struggle With Attraction To Underage Girls Revealed In Documentary

Investigation Discovery announced the six-part docuseries Hollywood Demons, in which each two-hour episode will cover a different horror story from the industry. The first episode details the downfall of actor Stephen Collins.

Best known for playing Rev. Eric Camden on 7th Heaven for 11 years, Collins was first investigated for sexually abusing underage girls in 2012. The investigation followed a leaked video of Collins admitting the crimes to his therapist. The footage, recorded unbeknownst to Collins or his therapist, was allegedly taken by Collins’ estranged wife Faye Grant.

In 2014, Collins returned to headlines with a long statement to People that confessed to having had inappropriate sexual conduct with three minors between the years of 1973 and 1994.

Following this 2014 statement, Collins gave an interview to ABC News’ 20/20 where he adamantly insisted that he was, “absolutely not attracted, physically or sexually attracted to children.”

However, the mini documentary episode, entitled Stephen Collins” America’s Dad, seems to say otherwise, as it includes an in depth interview with one of Collins’ victims, along with commentary from Collins’ previous cast mates.

Despite confessing to his actions, Collins never suffered any legal consequences

The first episode of Hollywood Demons is set to premiere on March 24 and stream on Max. Comprised of six documentaries, the series is determined to, “expose the hidden struggles, sacrifices and scandals of life in the spotlight,” according to Investigation Discovery’s press release.

Other documentaries in the series will see former child actors Brian Bonsai and Dee Jay Daniels detail their experience growing up on set in an episode entitled “Child Stars Gone Violent” (set to premiere on March 31). Also featured will be episodes “The Dark Side of the Power Rangers,” “Housewives Gone Bad,” “The Real Iron Claw” and “Stalking the Stars.”

Investigation Discovery’s press release promoted, “Each gripping two-hour episode features accounts from Hollywood insiders, project collaborators, and survivors who endured harrowing abuse and struggles.”
