New ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Recap: Arnold Schwarzenegger Takes Over As Host

Arnold Schwarzenegger replaced Donald Trump as host of this season’s Celebrity Apprentice and thus far the former California governor has proved a much more intimidating host.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER HEADS CELEBRITY APPRENTICE

Schwarzenegger called on advisors a group of celebrity advisors, including his own cousin Patrick M. Knapp Schwarzenegger along with Tyra BanksWarren BuffettSteve Ballmer and Jessica Alba. Among the celebrity contestants were Laila AliBoy GeorgeCarson KressleyJon LovitzNicole “Snooki” PolizziPorsha WilliamsCarnie Wilson and Ricky Williams.

In the first episode, entitled “In Here You Can Call Me Governor,” the new host separated the contestants into male and female teams, Team Arete and Team Prima. In the first challenge, both teams had to give a group of models makeovers using makeup from Banks’ makeup line. In a move against stereotype, the men won this round, which meant that project manager Boy George won $50,000 for his charity. YouTuber Carrie Keagan lost this round and left the show.

The second challenge was an advertisement for Trident gum, which again went to the men’s team. Schwarzenegger scolds them for being so wishy-washy and not straightforward. Project manager Carnie Wilson was sent away this time, to the host’s uttering “Hasta la vista, baby.”

Trump is still on as executive producer for the show, despite his new post as President of the United States. And Schwarzenegger already seems like a more level-headed host for the show.
