Netflix is releasing a new series, The OA, on Dec. 16, and no one realized until they released the official trailer on Monday.

NETFLIX RELEASES TRAILER FOR NEW SHOW, THE OA

The eight-episode thriller has been kept so under wraps that no one even knew it was happening until three days before it’s release. From the minds of Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij comes a story of a blind girl who went missing seven years ago, but has just been discovered. Now she has her eyesight, acts strangely, and calls herself The OA.

Marling plays the lead, and is joined by Phyllis Smith, Emory Cohen, Scott Wilson and Jason Isaacs, and the show is produced by Brad Pitt.

The trailer was dropped after the streaming series left a few very cryptic messages on it’s Twitter feed. Watch it unfold below.
