Netflix released the trailer for House of Cards‘ forthcoming third season Sunday night.
House of Cards’ trailer, released the same day that star Kevin Spacey picked up his first Golden Globe for playing Frank Underwood, shows that he and his wife Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) are far from finished with their deadly schemes.
“You want to know what takes real courage,” Frank says in voiceover. “Holding it all together when the stakes are this high.”
The trailer features clips of Frank in the Oval Office, in a cemetery, walking the halls of the residence with Claire, getting advised in the situation room and meeting heads of state. As the tense trailer winds down, it shows both Frank and Claire looking close to a breaking point while trying to hold “it all together.”
Claire, looking out a window, says, “We’re murderers, Francis.”
“We’re survivors,” he replies.
House of Cards, which has its first two season already streaming on Netflix, will premiere its third season in full on the streaming network Feb. 27.
