Neil Young & Daryl Hannah Reportedly Married Over The Weekend

Musician Neil Young and actress Daryl Hannah have reportedly married each other over the weekend at California.

A ceremony on Young’s yacht was held close to the San Juan islands, and the union itself occurred on Saturday at Atascadero. Guitarist Mark Miller was evidently unable to attend the event, but he heard about it and wished the couple well on a Facebook post. The person in charge of Young’s blog likewise seemed to confirm the news, referencing comments regarding the “shindig” and congratulating the happy couple.

Hanna herself hinted at the news too in her latest Instagram post, writing, “someone’s watching over us,” adding “love & only love.”

The pair reportedly started dating in 2014, following Young’s divorce from his wife of 36 years. While his relationship with Hannah had drawn criticism, the singer responded by saying, “We didn’t pay any attention to that. It doesn’t matter. We don’t give a shit. We don’t care, because they don’t know what they’re talking about. And if they do know what they’re talking about, we still don’t care, but we’re happy for them. It doesn’t matter. What matters is us, not the press.”

Young, now 72 years old, continues to perform, having released six albums within the last four years. He also appeared in the sci-fi Netflix series Sense8, which Hannah co-starred in. Meanwhile, Hannah, at 57, continues to hone her craft as well. She is also a prolific activist, advocating against the construction of the Keystone oil pipeline system that would run through the United States and Canada.
