Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic is engaged to his girlfriend, Anamaria Goltes.
The basketball star proposed on Friday, which marks their anniversary, but the date also had another significant meaning. Doncic’s number is 77 and the date of the proposal was 7/7.
The two posted on Instagram to officially announce their news featuring a photo of Doncic on one knee sliding the engagement ring onto Goltes’s finger. The caption read, “💍❤️ 7.7.”
The event occurred in Slovenia on Lake Bled in front of the Church of the Mother of God. The couple was surrounded by different types of beautiful white flowers.
Goltes adorned a hot pink puffy mini dress. She accessorized with big hoops and a gold bracelet. Doncic kept his look simple but classic, wearing a white long-sleeve button-up and navy trousers.
The two are both from Slovenia and met when they were 12 years old. They started dating in 2016 but were on and off for a couple of years. In 2020, they got back together and have dated ever since.

Goltes is a social media lifestyle and fashion content creator. She has shared glimpses into their lives as a couple several times. In February, she posted a picture of herself at one of Doncic’s games wearing a denim jacket with the number 77 and Doncic painted on the back.
Doncic currently plays for the Dallas Mavericks and started his career with the NBA in 2018 when he was selected third overall in the draft. He initially played for the Atlanta Hawks and was later traded to the Mavericks.
