In an interview posted on Twitter, Miami Heat star Kevin Love confirmed that he and his wife, Kate Love, just welcomed their first child together.
In the clip Kevin stated, “Definitely need to get some rest now, get some sleep, everybody is happy and healthy.” The post was captioned: “Kevin Love confirms his wife had a baby yesterday but he didn’t miss film this morning.”
Kevin missed the flight to Denver for the Miami Heat’s Game 5 for the NBA Finals due to Kate going into labor. Kevin later flew to Denver just in time for the team’s media day, where he revealed their new baby boy.
The game took place last Monday and unfortunately for Miami Heat, the Denver Nuggets won the game. Nikola Jokic, who plays for Denver, won the first franchise title for the Nuggets.
Kate and Kevin met back in 2015 and went Instagram official in 2016. They got engaged in 2021, after dating for about six years. The two shared their engagement through Instagram when Kate posted a series of pictures, including one of them kissing with her wearing an engagement ring.
She captioned the photo: “Well, this was the best birthday surprise I could have ever imagined. I couldn’t be happier to have been asked to be a Love. 🤍🤍🤍 Heart bursting all day & night.”
Kate and Kevin got married last year in June 2022. The Great Gatsby-themed ceremony was held at the New York Public Library.
Kate recently posted a picture on Instagram of the two of them dancing and captioned it: “All lovey & stuff 🖤”
