The transgender sister of NBA player Reggie Bullock – Mia Henderson – was murdered in Baltimore.

Another Transgender Woman Killed In Baltimore

Henderson, 26, was found dead in an alley in northeast Baltimore early Wednesday morning, reported the Baltimore Sun. According to an eyewitness, a man had offered Henderson $10 for a “date,” and though she initially turned him down, the eyewitness saw her go with him into the alley. The area in which Henderson's body was found is reportedly known for prostitution and drugs.

“We do know that there was trauma to the body to indicate that there was a homicide,” Baltimore City police’s Major Dennis Smith told CBS affiliate WJZ.

There is some speculation that the individual who murdered Henderson is the same person who killed a transgender woman named Kandy last month. Since Kandy’s murder, there has been an ongoing investigation into whether or not it had been a hate crime.

"We want to be strong partners with our LGBT community," Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts reassured a room full of LGBT community leaders in a meeting. "Not by talk but by action."

Reggie Bullock Reacts To Sibling's Death

Bullock, who plays for the Los Angeles Clippers, took to Twitter on Wednesday to address the loss of his sibling, who was born Kevin Long before changing her name to Mia Henderson. “All I can say is my brother showed me how to live your "OWN LIFE" love you soo much man. Gone but not forgotten #RIPKEVIN,” Bullock tweeted yesterday. “At least I sent the last LOVE YOU to my brother.”
