The 2013 NBA Draft saw the Cleveland Cavaliers pick up professional Canadian basketball player Anthony Bennett (pictured) for their No. 1 first round draft choice. Bennett, who played his college basketball at UNLV, is the first No. 1 pick to come out of Canada.
Rounding out the top ten were Indiana’s Victor Oladipo (Orlando Magic), Georgetown’s Otto Porter (Washington Wizards), Indiana’s Cody Zeller (Charlotte Bobcats), Maryland’s Alex Len (Phoenix Suns), Kentucky’s Nerlens Noel (Philadelphia 76ers), Kansas’ Ben McLemore (Sacramento Kings), Georgia’s Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Detroit Pistons), University of Michigan’s Trey Burke (Utah Jazz) and Lehigh’s C.J. McCollum (Portland Trail Blazers).

In the Eastern Conference: The Atlanta Hawks also picked up center Lucas Noguiera, point guards Dennis Schroeder and Raul Neto, shooting guard Jared Cunningham and center Mike Muscala. Centers Kelly Olynk and Colton Iverson joined the Celtics, while the Brooklyn Nets picked up center Mason Plumlee. The Cavaliers picked up forward Sergey Karasev and shooting guard Carrick Felix. Forwards Tony Mitchell and point guard Peton Siva are headed to the Detroit Pistons. The Pacers picked up shooting forward Solomon Hill, while shooting forward James Ennis is headed to the Miami Heat. Milwaukee Bucks picked up Gainnis Antetokounmpo and Ricky Ledo. Tim Hardaway Jr. is headed to the New York Knicks and the Orlando Magic picked up Romero Osby. The 76ers picked up guards Michael Carter-Williams and Nate Wolders, and Arsalan Kazemi. Glen Rice Jr. is joining the Washington Wizards. Shooting guard Tony Snell and power forward Erik Murphy are headed to the Chicago Bulls.Toronto Raptors declined to pick up anyone in the draft.
In the Western Conference: The Dallas Mavericks picked up Shane Larkin. The Denver Nuggets picked up guard Erick Green and forwards Joffrey Lauvergne and Darrell Arthur. Nemanja Nedovic and Malcolm Lee are headed to the Golden State Warriors. Isaiah Cannan is going to the Houston Rockets. L.A. Clippers picked up forward Reggie Bullock, while forward Ryan Kelly is headed to the Lakers. Memphis Grizzles picked up Jamaal Franklin, Janis Timma and Kostas Koufos. Shabazz Muhammad, Gorgui Dieng, Lorenzo Brown and Bojan Dubljevic are going to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Guards Pierre Jackson and Jrue Holiday were picked up by the New Orleans Pelicans. Oklahoma City Thunder picked up Steven Adams, Andrew Roberson and Alex Abrines. Archie Goodwin and Alex Oriakhi are headed to the Phoenix Suns. Allen Crabbe, Jeff Withey, Grant Jerrett and Marko Todorovic round out the Portland Trail Blazers draft picks.
The 2013-2014 NBA season will begin on Oct. 29 with a game hosted by the 2012-2013 champions, the Miami Heat.
