Natalie Portman looked elegant at the Jane Got A Gun premiere at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art Wednesday night.
Portman hit the red carpet in a floor-length Valentino Resort 2016 Water Song dress. The beaded gown featured sheer sleeves and a flowing skirt. Styled by Kate Young, Portman finished off her look with Dior heels.
Pati Dubroff did Portman’s dramatic makeup look for the Jane Got a Gun premiere, while Bryce Scarlett styled her hair in the loose chignon.
In Jane Got A Gun, Portman plays a frontierswoman named Jane Hammond, whose husband ends up in the crosshairs of a band of dangerous outlaws led by Colin McCann (Ewan McGregor). Jane’s only hope of saving him is her ex-lover Dan Frost (Joel Edgerton), who had returned to find her a married mother.
“I loved the idea of a love story in the the wild west because love seems like that kind of lawless atmosphere,” Portman said on Good Morning America about the movie. “This story of this woman having to sort of face her deepest fears in this really challenging environment was very parallel to sort of the experience of making films.”
Jane Got A Gun hits theaters Friday, Jan. 29.
