Naomi Watts & Billy Crudup Get Married In New York City

Actress Naomi Watts announced on Instagram that she has married fellow actor Billy Crudup.

In a picture posted to Instagram, she captioned the post “Hitched” of the two of them with their arms around each other outside of a Manhattan courthouse looking admiringly at each other.

They first met back in 2017, when they acted as a married couple in Netflix’s Gypsy. The actress, who starred in King Kong and Mulholland Drive, wore an elaborate dress embellished with florals designed by Oscar De La Renta accompanied by white flowers that were from a deli.

The groom, who starred in The Morning Show and Rudderless, wore a navy blue tuxedo and a white button-down.

They commemorated their special day with friends and artists Mark Ruffalo and Josh Hamilton.

For her hair, she worked with hairstylist Ryan Trygstad for a classic side parted-do and makeup artist Kyra Panchenko for a clean presence.

A variety of her celebrity friends offered congratulations on the picture.

Actress Jennifer Coolidge wrote, “Hooray!!! Just woke up to this!!!!! Congrats!!!! You two couldn’t look happier!!!”

Gwyneth Paltrow replied, “Yipeeeeeee!!! Sending so much love!!!

Back in April, there were engagement rumors that went around after Watts wore a big diamond ring on her left hand when she was on the Today Show.

Host Hoda Kotb said, “My eye is hurting. There’s a big glint coming from some ring over here. It just struck me…it’s beautiful,”

Watts and Crudup have been together for six years starting in 2017 but have kept their relationship private. Five years later, they took the relationship public when they made their first public appearance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February 2022.

Watt has directed her love towards Crudup on her social media with a July 8 birthday post, in which she wrote, “Happy Birthday my love” with a selfie.

In an additional February 14 post, she posted a picture of the two cuddled up together with the caption, “My darling.”

Watt’s ring includes a 2.5ct marquise-cut diamond. Marquise rings are noted to be the most sentimental selection as far as engagement rings. It is a solitaire ring, which allows the center stone to be the main focus.

Watts shares kids Sasha,15 and Kai, 14, with actor Liev Schreiber whom she was in a relationship for 11 years before they went their own ways in 2016. Crudup is a father to son William Atticus Parker, 19, whom he shares with ex, actress Mary Louise Parker.
